Sydney, Australia - Australian radio icon Bob Rogers has died at the age of 97. Rogers, who held the title of Australia's longest-serving disc jockey, passed away peacefully at his Mosman home surrounded by his family. The news was shared by friend and family spokesperson Derryn Hinch.

Rogers' career spanned over eight decades, during which he became a beloved figure in the Australian radio landscape. He is survived by his wife of 74 years, Jerry, and their four daughters. One of his daughters, Sheridan Rogers, is an accomplished radio personality in her own right.

Rogers was inducted into the Radio Hall of Fame in 2002 for his significant contributions to the industry. His broadcasting career came to an end in 2020. Tributes have been pouring in from across the industry, with many praising Rogers' exceptional talent and dedication to his craft.
